i’ve seen this so many times now, and really only registered helena’s lovesick little face and strategically placing her hand
but I only just noticed that myka’s fingers are all closed, except the one specifically kept out so she can touch helena’s hand for that second longer
like, helena actually goes to close her fingers but nope myka’s running her finger along the back of her knuckles so she relishes it while she has that chance

Some fandom researchers, of course, believe that the Bering and Wells fandom simply evolved, possibly to the point of becoming a new species that thrives off angst and pain, and indeed, may have evolved an entire social structure around perpetuating the angst, but these hypotheses remain largely untested. 

What is known, is that Jo and Jaime, much like the grecian goddesses they resemble, bodies swathed in beauty, power, and subtext, changed the lives of those mere mortals in the Bering and Wells fandom, and in a spirit truly Promethean, those mere mortals took what had been given them, and set a world on fire.
