Warning: possible scam going around

Recently, I got this message:

First of all, a quick reverse image search for her avatar reveals that it’s stolen. Second of all, the link she’s referring to is a shortened URL. I put it through a URL expander and found it leads to a site called “trkur.” Here’s its Web of Trust scorecard:

Pass this on if you wish.

You should always assume that these kinds of fanmail are always scams and the links are malicious. This isn’t the only example.

Honestly I pretty much assumed it was right off the bat. I made this post because I don’t want anyone to fall for it.

I’ve a got a couple messages like this. Never bothered to mess with ‘em anyway.
