i dont get why book series are made into movies and not tv shows???

one chapter= one episode

one book= one season

like, if a book is made into a movie, people get excited. then the movie comes out and suddenly it’s over.

if it’s made into a TV series, people stay hyped all week for a new episode. people will tell their friends about it. people who can’t afford movie tickets can finally see they’re faves in live action.

does no one realize that Pretty Little Liars was a book series and so was the Vampire Diaries and I’m pretty sure other book have been made into TV shows too
