My name is Nada, and I’m a student at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and I need the community to be aware that the head of our LGBTQIA+ office has been forced to resign because the school refused to protect her and her wife from a bigoted white Christian man who demanded the school fire her for being an “emotionally volatile […] lesbian activist.”
Yes, this is actually happening, and we need your help.
She’s our only support on campus guys, even if you’re not a student or just an ally, please share. We are in dire need of our support system back.
Please sign this, guys. It takes so little effort to just sign the petition and reblog. We NEED to spread awareness or our school is not going to do anything about it. We’re being put up against an evil, powerful man. If we have enough hype, press, and awareness we might have a chance.
this is literally the bare minimum you can do to protect a professor who was unjustly fired based on her sexuality while the students who consider her a resource are left with nothing.

this is a vicious act of homophobia enacted by a higher education system. it makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it, and i’m even more disgusted at the so called “activists” who don’t think this is important enough to care about.
a woman was forced out of her job because she’s a lesbian. if you actually cared, that alone should be enough to call you to action.
