okay tbh I’m super fucking tired of certain people in the gravity falls fandom hounding down on fans that A) are reluctant to believe or go along with certain theories (such as grunk4gramp or swap theory), B) go along with it but don’t adhere to a complete 180 of name switches, or C) literally just want no part in this and do what they like.

im seeing these theories shoved into others’ faces and aggressively and consistently spoken about as if they were canon. I get it?? you love your theory and there is/could be evidence to support it! but for everyone’s sake, PLEASE don’t shoot others down that don’t want to go along with it just yet or be condescending for the same goddamn reason. the fact that I’ve literally heard people passive aggressively shit on others for doing something as simple as continuing to call the author ‘stanley’ as opposed to whatever else you wanna go ahead and call him is unbelievably rude and childish. assuming that others know about the theory and never specifying its use ever in your posts/fanart/whatever is confusing to those just passing by.

just let others do what they want and don’t jump down throats trying to tear them down because there are a lot of reasons why someone isn’t going to buy into a theory, and I won’t lie when I say one of the big ones is how aggressively they’re being presented to us
